Finding the Right Workout Regimen for Eastpointe Health & Fitness Member, Alexis Lamorte and Personal Trainer, Kevin Delia Has Made All The Difference

"I have always worked out but I never did it as religiously as I have with personal trainer, Kevin Delia," said Eastpointe Health & Fitness member, Alexis Lamorte. "I feel very comfortable with Kevin. I am not intimidated or uneasy." Lamorte takes her training very seriously working with Delia four times a week doing ? hour sessions. On the days she doesn't work with Kevin, Lamorte is working on cardio on the cross trainer. "Initially Alexis wasn't getting the results she was looking for so we adjusted her training schedule," said Trainer Kevin Delia. "Once we went to the shorter intensified sessions, she started seeing results."

Delia brings a lifetime of sports and fitness experience to the Eastpointe Fitness & Health team. "Like a lot of kids, I played football, baseball and I wrestled," said Delia. "I also started working out in middle school and have been doing so ever since." Delia received a Masters Degree in Exercise Sciences from East Stroudsburg University in 2001 and became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2002 and a Conditioning Specialist in 2003. "I thought I would be working with athletes but I really enjoyed the gym atmosphere," said Delia. "I like working with members and seeing them evolve physically and mentally."

"When I started working with Kevin in November of last year, my initial goals were to lose weight and reduce stress," said Lamorte. "To date I have logym member working outst 42 lbs. and I feel great." Lamorte also adjusted her diet eating low fat and lean proteins. A third generation insurance agent with two teenage sons, Lamorte has her share of stress. "I love coming to the gym," she said. "It is a sanctuary in a way and it really helps with my stress level. I also had a shoulder injury and working with Kevin, doing specific stretching exercises helped to relieve the pain and my shoulder is now stronger than ever." Lamorte has received other benefits from her training regimen as well. "I never had knees," she laughed. "Now I have definition in my legs. You see my knees. My clothes also fit better and I have no cellulite." "Alexis really works out intensely," said Delia. "The shorter workouts allowed us to kick it up a notch and really focus."

Besides personal training, Delia is an avid rugby player playing for the Monmouth Rugby Team. He also is a creative writer and is working on a kid's fitness book. Delia resides with his wife in Ocean Township.

If you are interested in joining Eastpointe Health & Fitness, the club offers a free VIP Health Package. "All new guests of the facility are offered a free VIP week membership during which time they have full use of the facility, including all of our group fitness classes," said Owner Paul Mazzella. "Included in the VIP Health Package is a health screening and assessment, a nutritional consultation and a personal training orientation. New guests also receive a free 30 minute massage, as well as a computerized posture assessment. Guests may also receive a complimentary consultation with our resident Chiropractor or Physical Therapist."
