Hello Real Resulters,
This past week has been a struggle for a couple of reasons. First, I went back to PA for the weekend to see friends and family so my eating was a bit off. For one thing I was camping Friday and Saturday. Now when I spend a lot of time outside whether I'm exercising or not I tend to be really hungry. The upside of that is everything tastes great so I did bring healthy foods. Of course, the other people I was with are not doing Real Results and didn't bring the healthiest foods. So I cheated here and there (a few sour cream & potato chips and a bite or two of gourmet gorganzola mac & cheese. These people know how to camp! Ha!) Secondly, I had planned to work out at a gym where visitors can pay for the day. I didn't make that workout because my portable alarm clock didn't go off and the early morning was the only time I had to go there. One of my lists of things to do was to meet some friends for breakfast. I ordered poached eggs on dry toast but of course it came with home fries. Did I not eat them? Of course I ate them. Then the third reason I went to PA was for a big meal on Sunday. My sister, lived in Canada for a number of years and when she moved back to the states she brought the celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving which occurs around our Columbus Day. It's the same meal as our's . . .turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, sweet potatos, pumpkin pie and on and on! I did take little portions of things so again I didn't over do but I know I was not in my calorie range to say the least. To top it off, I got sick on Tuesday and didn't go to my morning spin class. But I am not discouraged. I am just getting back on the calloric horse so to speak and back to my exercise routine. I am a creature who likes routine so I didn't really enjoy going off my eating or exercising so that was a good thing. What that tells me is good eating and regular exercise are becoming second nature to me. So don't let any bumps along the way discourage you. Try and learn from it and just keep going.
Take care and see you at the gym!
