Boot Camp - What is it??? Try it Out!
Originally named "Boot Camp" because it resembled the physical training of a soldier, this type of workout is an efficient way to exercise your entire body by going from one exercise to another with no rest. It involves calisthenics at a high intensity. In boot camp, your challenge is to take your body to its limit. You work hard and you burn calories like crazy!
Not sure if the Boot Camp workshop is for you? Want to try it out before you commit to a full workshop series? On Sunday, June 13th, join Kristine for a trial Boot Camp Class. The session will be held from 8:45-10:00 for a $10 fee. The full series of sessions will be available shortly and will occur throughout the summer. Boot Camps will also be held outdoors, weather permitting. Click here to register for Kristine’s class!

Breakfast of Champions? From our Nutrition Blog: Kim’s Nutrition Corner By Kim Garrity, Nutritionist, General Manager
This past week I went across the street to the Quick Check to get a cup of coffee early one morning. The man in front of me on line had a rather interesting purchase...well maybe it is more common than I think. Obviously his "breakfast of champions", it included a 20oz Pepsi, Slim Jim and a package of Reese's Peanut Butter cups. Coming in at probably over 700 calories - with close to ZERO nutritional value.

Real Results Update
The Spring Real Results Session is in full swing with a total weight loss of 74.5 pounds to date (average of 4.1 pounds per person weighing in.) Participants are working hard on making lifestyle changes that will carry them through the summer and help to keep those healthy habits in place! One of the things that separates this program from others is the permanent changes that many of the participants make - gradual weight loss the healthy way is better than a quick fix. Many of the participants have learned this the hard way over time by gaining the weight back from other programs.
Real Results takes a break for the summer and the next session is scheduled to begin on September 27th.

Rebecca’s Weight Loss Journey – Week 1 From our Nutrition Blog: Kim’s Nutrition Corner By Guest Blogger: Rebecca Kopp
Rebecca is a Real Results Participant and Editor at Around the Hook Today publication.
Hi everyone! I am excited to be a part of the Real Results program and even though I started a week late I have already lost 2 lbs! I have always been a haphazard exerciser. Over the years I have jogged, walked, danced, swam, rode bike, hiked, played volleyball, done yoga, but I never did any of it consistently or for an extended period of time. I am easily bored and at the first sign of pain or difficulty I would stop. I was skinny up until my late 20s and I thought I had it made and could eat anything I wanted and not really make exercise a focus. Then in my 30s I began to gain weight. I did weight watchers with good success but then I wouldn't maintain the weight loss.

Plantar Fasciitis - Physical Therapy techniques to get relief From our Physical Therapy Blog: Rehab Rhetoric By Physical Therapist Raisa Sigalova
Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the strong tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot and connects the heel to the base of the toes (see image). This common overuse injury is characterized by heel pain that is worse in the morning with the first few steps. Since it is difficult to rest the foot, this problem gradually worsens. With progression, pain may start interfering with activities of daily living.
