Eastpointe Health and Fitness offers a wide variety of group exercise classes. Most classes are for all levels of experience and fitness; however we also have classes specifically for beginners.
Ashtanga Yoga -- Ashtanga yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures. This style of yoga produces an intense internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. This result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
Body Sculpt -- A low-impact class that is intensive but easy to follow. Utilizes dyna-band resistance bands, stability balls and free weights to tone & sculpt. Focus is in muscular endurance and strength. All levels welcome.
Cardio Sculpt -- A comfortably paced class of low impact aerobic exercises and basic cardio moves, followed by some limited resistance training/conditioning of a variety of muscle groups.
Core Balance -- A low-impact class utilizing inflated stability balls & dyna-band resistance bands. Builds strength, flexibility and increases balance.
Dance - A fun and upbeat way to get your cardio! Taught by certified dance instructors, this class combines low-impact dance moves from a combination of several forms including Jazz, Hip-Hop/Funk, and Latin.
Express Interval - Need to get in and out of the gym quickly? This class is designed to get you the most for your time. A combination of cardio and weight training in an efficient format to maximize your time and your calorie burning!
Kickboxing -- The principals of martial arts in a fun, high-energy setting. No training or experience in martial arts is required.
Pilates -- This class emphasizes abdominal strength and improves posture. Exercises focus on lengthening muscles and improving flexibility.
Spin -- A high-energy cardiovascular workout on specially designed stationary bikes. Enjoy great music and cycle along with the pack on a simulated course. The spinning program is for everyone at any age and at every level of fitness.
Step - A combination cardio and body sculpting workout using a step to maximize your workout. Adjust the height of your step based on your level of fitness and get a great high-calorie burning aerobic workout.
Yoga-Pilates -- A series of yoga positions designed to balance the body, mind and spirit, while incorporating Pilate's mat-based exercises to strengthen and stretch the core muscles.
Yoga for Beginners -- The perfect class for learning about yoga. You'll slowly ease into various yoga positions to enhance your flexibility and release stress.
20/20/20 - This class combines 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of weight training and 20 minutes of stretching to give you the perfect combination!
